Helping the Injured Scholarship
Unlike many lawyers, Don Yearin truly enjoys his job as a personal injury lawyer. He is proud of being able to help injured people and their families to get as much compensation as they need in order to recover as much as they can physically and emotionally, and to ensure they do not run into future financial hardships. Mr. Yearin is proud of the personalized service he is able to give each of his clients and feels good when he has gone to bat for them to do what was needed to get them the compensation that they truly deserve.
Mr. Yearin has dedicated his professional life to helping injured people and their families hold the people who caused their injuries, accountable for their wrongdoings. He knows the value of being able to help injured people and would like to encourage others to focus their education and career goals to do the same.
For this, the Yearin Law Office’s, Helping the Injured Scholarship, has been created to support the education of a student who is dedicated to being able to help injured people. Mr Yearin knows that there are many different ways to help injured people. He appreciates knowing that there are teams and communities of people besides himself who are available to help his clients in many different ways. Mr. Yearin wants to support the education of a student who is dedicated to helping injured people because he feels like this will be a positive contribution to the global community that is focused on helping injured people.
Eligibility Criteria
- This scholarship is open to any student who is currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate, graduate, or professional program in the United States. This includes accredited community college students as well as high school seniors and students who possess a GED who have been accepted to or are enrolled in an accredited program.
- The scholarship applicant must be able to demonstrate in their essay, their commitment to helping injured people.
- All eligible candidates must be in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above.
Essay
Answer the following questions in an essay of 1,000 words or less:
- What inspired your commitment to help injured people?
- In what ways have you already demonstrated your commitment to helping injured people?
- How has your commitment to helping injured people informed your education goals?
- What kind of career do you plan to do have, or work do you plan to do, that will allow you to help injured people in the future?
