On this blog, we write about a lot of the larger settlements or verdicts we obtain. However, many of the smaller verdicts are just as important and can be life changers for our clients. On December 4, 2016, obtained an arbitration verdict of $31,602.62 in Maricopa County Case CV2015-051704 against, Isidro Torres and his insurance carrier. We also recovered a $15,000.00 underinsured motorist policy limit for these same client. Mr. Torres was unlawfully traveling 40mph in a left hand only turn lane of traffic in order to avoid rush hour traffic that had backed up on the through lanes of traffic. Mr. Torres denied that he was in the left hand turn only lane of traffic and contended that he was using the through lane of traffic and that the accident pushed him into left hand turn lane. Officer Guzman of the Tempe Police department testified that the skid marks and physical evidence demonstrated that he was using the left hand turn only lane as a through lane of traffic.
